A Different Jesus

A Different Jesus

The Gospel contains no chronological narrative, no miracles, and no mention of a virgin birth. Instead we are presented with a very human Jesus doing very human things in a world that mostly wasn't listening. It is a Jesus closer to the original source.

In Thomas Jesus asks us to know ourselves in a different way, to remember a forgotten self. We are encouraged to unravel what we have become, to refind that which we originally were.  This is a new way of being, one that alludes to a cosmic wholeness, and to a kingdom that is here and now.

Extraordinary Insight

Extraordinary Insight

Thomas presents us with an ordinary Jesus who possesses extraordinary insight. It is a Jesus who has a sense of humour, gets irritated with the disciples, and who differentiates his teaching based upon the individual in front of him. This is a Jesus we can relate to.
